Men’s Group · Ages 18 And Older

A Place To
Speak Honestly.

You can have people around you and still have no one you feel able to talk to. There may be things weighing on you that never make it into conversation.

We’re coming together to talk honestly about the lives we’re living, support one another, and grow in our understanding of what it means to be a man who follows Christ.

Honest Conversation

Room For The
Things You Carry

Sometimes you stay quiet because you don’t know where to begin. Sometimes you’ve spoken before and regretted it. When your friends are also connected to your spouse, family, or workplace, you may wonder how far something personal will travel.

This group is being formed to make room for deeper conversations. That includes mental and emotional struggles, relationships, grief, financial pressure, anger, and questions about faith. You may be facing something you’ve never told anyone. You may simply miss having a friend who asks how you’re doing and stays long enough to hear the answer.

You decide what you’re ready to share. Listening is a perfectly good place to begin.

Across Generations

What Does It Mean
To Be A Man?

Some men enter adulthood with patient guidance. Others are left to work things out alone, carrying expectations they were never taught how to meet.

We’ll talk about responsibility and the people who depend on us. We’ll consider how to recognize what we’re feeling, handle conflict, and listen when someone we love sees things differently. Relationships with women deserve thoughtful attention: learning to communicate, respect boundaries, love faithfully, and take responsibility for our own conduct.

There is room here for younger men looking for guidance and older men still working through questions of their own. Experience gives us something to share; it doesn’t mean we’ve finished learning. We hope friendships across generations will give men someone to turn to when a difficult decision or unfamiliar season comes.

Our Foundation

Faith That Meets Us Here

Scripture gives us language for experiences we often struggle to name. The Psalms bring sorrow and fear before God (Psalm 13). Jesus Himself wept (John 11:33–36). In Galatians 6:2, Paul calls believers to bear one another’s burdens as an expression of the law of Christ.

That gives this group its foundation. Following Christ involves learning to receive help as well as offer it. It means being honest about suffering and also about the ways we may need to change (Galatians 6:1–5).

We’ll bring the Bible into these conversations with care, allowing its teaching to shape how we understand our lives and treat one another. Pain deserves a patient hearing. A difficult disclosure deserves more than a quick verse and a change of subject.

Twice A Month

How We’ll Meet

The topic, format, and meeting location will be shared beforehand so you know what to expect.

Teaching And Discussion

Some gatherings will include a talk or biblical teaching followed by time to ask questions and consider what it means in everyday life.

Time To Talk

Other gatherings will give more time to open conversation about what men are facing, with room to listen and offer support.

Friendship Beyond The Meetings

Shared activities will also have a place. We hope these ordinary experiences will help friendships grow into relationships that last.

Taking One Another Seriously

We ask men to listen without ridicule, resist rushing to give advice, and respect one another’s privacy. Personal stories should never become material for gossip. Honest conversation can include disagreement and accountability while preserving a man’s dignity.

Privacy matters, but absolute confidentiality cannot be promised, particularly where someone’s safety is at risk. This is a church group for friendship, biblical reflection, and mutual support; it does not provide professional mental health treatment.
